ACCOMMODATIONS

El Blok is a modern eco-hotel/restaurant located on Esperanza’s waterfront main street that boasts a roof-top lounge featuring music/bar for sunset, most nights.  Where to stay and be seen!

The Esperanza Inn is a quiet and relaxing Inn that has a mix of apartments and rooms with a pool less than a block off the beach in Esperanza.

Hacienda Tamarindo is a sixteen-room luxury inn with a pool located just west of Esperanza, and right up the hill from us!

Hix Island House is a rustic eco-hip retreat boasting 13 loft apartments amidst a small nature preserve in Pilon. Inquire about their daily outdoor yoga class!

Isla Nena Scuba will show you exactly what’s under our beautiful blue waters on their guided boat and shore dives.

Jak Water Sports offers Bio Bay tours in clear kayaks, snorkeling, kayaking, and sightseeing by boat. Meeting point in Esperanza.

Kiani Tours is a full service van tour company that will show you every hidden treasure Vieques has to offer. If you’re just here for the day, see it all!

El Quenepo Restaurant is island fine dining at its best. Local seafood is their specialty, but you’ll also find fabulous fusion dishes and vegetarian options with tons of fresh flair. Reservations are recommended.

Restaurente Bili is locally owned and operated. You’ll find authentic Puerto Rican cuisine including fresh seafood and craft cocktails.

NON-PROFITS

Vieques Rotary Club is dedicated to doing charitable works in our Vieques community, particularly focused on supporting existing youth-oriented programs. They welcome you to visit while you are on the island!

Vieques Conservation & Historical Trust is concerned with the protection of the unique archaeological, physical, and ecological environment of Vieques. They have great live marine and bioluminescent bay exhibits, as well as a gift shop and are located on the malecon of Esperanza next to Duffy’s.

If you’re interested in helping the animals of Vieques, please check out the organizations mentioned below that are making a huge difference on our tiny island.

Hooves on the Ground. Vieques is well-known for our herds of free-roaming horses. This small organization provides emergency care for injuries, community outreach to assist in cases of malnutrition, providing vaccinations, and castrations and overall vet care for free to owners. They need our support!

Juntos prompts humane education through outreach in the community and in the local school system.

Our Big Fat Carribbean Rescue strives to reduce the stray dog and cat population on Vieques by offering free spray/neuter services and sharing its resources and knowledge through extensive community outreach programs.

Vieques Humane Society is doing its best to keep our island’s animals happy and healthy. Please stop by to see how you can help. Maybe you can take a lucky dog or cat home with you!
